Brew to Brewery Tour

Treat your taste buds with two of the best Pacific Northwest traditions in one tour! First, you will be picked up by private car in Bellingham and escorted for a walk along South Bay trail overlooking Bellingham Bay at Boulevard Park. We will take in the gorgeous views while sipping a cup of delicious, freshly brewed coffee. Boulevard park is a full-service park, and a fun attraction, complete with beaches, food concessions, interpretive displays and a playground. The boardwalk will take us over water part of the way, for exceptional views and picture-taking opportunities.

Then, we’ll hop in the car and drive south to the Beautiful Chuckanut Drive where we can stop and see overlooks to the San Juan Islands. Chuckanut will give us breathtaking view as we hug the curves and cliffs of Chuckanut Mountain above Puget Sound. This drive is often referred to as the Big Sur of Washington and is arguably one of the most scenic drives in the state. As Bellingham Bay turns into Samish Bay heading further south, the scenery will continue to amaze and inspire. Next, will stop at Chuckanut Brewery for a cold one. Since 2008, Chuckanut Brewery has been brewing their own beer and serving it up in fine Pacific Northwest style, using only the finest hops. They also offer flight of beer so that you may sample several of their brews, then take your pick of your favorite for a pint.

On the return trip, we’ll visit Blanchard Mountain where Paragliders launch over the awesome views of Skagit Valley and Samish Bay. There are several trails here to take advantage of; a great way to work off some of that beer! The mountain is located on the north end of the Skagit Valley, overlooking Samish Bay. With some of the best views in the region, you can see several of the San Juan Islands westward past the bay. On a clear day the views are even more spectacular, as the paragliders launch from the west side of the mountain and drift towards the water. A great opportunity for picture taking. 

We will then head back up north and end the tour with a visit to The Stone’s Throw Brewery in Fairhaven and knock off another craft beer or two to top off your day. Their beers are proudly brewed right in Bellingham, with some of the finest hops found in the state of Washington. They experiment with different flavors using their small barrels, and are able to perfect each batch before presenting it to beer fans. With six taps, the offerings are constantly evolving, giving you an excuse to come back for more. The neighborhood of Fairhaven lies right on Bellingham Bay. It’s small town atmosphere is the perfect way to relax and bring an end to the busy day.
