It is located about 90 minutes north of Seattle and about 20 miles south of the Canadian border. With a population of almost 100,000 residents, Bellingham is right on Bellingham Bay and provides wonderful outdoor recreation, with the San Juan Islands and the North Cascades. just a hop, skip and a jump away.
Our 4-hour tour starts with picking you up at your hotel, the Bellingham airport, or anywhere in the area you may be. We will head downtown where the history and future really converge in this amazing city with a small town feel.
What will you see on this tour, you ask? For starters, you’ll explore the famous Mt. Baker Theater, built in 1927. Its exterior tower will draw you in and its classically lush interior will keep you in its spell. MBT was one of the last grand vaudeville and silent movie palaces built in the Pacific Northwest. It now features performers from around the world; from international dance troupes to intimate rock concerts with artists such as Heart and Pearl Jam.
Next, we will take a short walk along the waterfront at Boulevard Park, with its magnificent view of Bellingham Bay. Then off to Whatcom Falls Park to gaze into the waters from a picturesque stone bridge built in 1939.
Something new and awe-inspiring awaits you around every corner in Bellingham. Whether it’s the aromatic scent of coffee wafting down the street, beckoning you to come in and have a taste, or the setting of the sun as it lights up Mt. Baker in a golden aura. You will be personally escorted to all of the must-see places as well as a few little-known gems.
